We have adopted the Bild Philosophy as our premier tool for discipleship. The Bild approach is designed to equip men and women for the Gospel ministry by following a well-defined and systematic approach.
We believe Christian education and development of individuals, families, and communities is first the responsibility of the church. We also believe discipleship training is not confined to any one program but is in affect a lifetime learning process.
STEP ONE – The First Principles Series
The First Principles is a set of 13, six-session Bible study guides for use with Life Groups (small groups). Rather than the typical fill-in-the-blank approach, the series employs a highly effective study method using readings, personal reflection, group interaction, and projects. The First Principles Series systematically teaches core principles, leading participants in firmly establishing their faith and on to deeper commitment.
Series One covers the beginnings of personal faith and carefully lays a firm foundation for growth. Both new and seasoned believers will benefit from its clear teaching. It starts or re-energizes the participants in growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Series Three initiates the believer into an ordered study of the Bible. The series teaches the essential skills for being a lifelong student of the Word of God, while revisiting the first principles in four New Testament books.
The Leadership Seriescourses come in either Basic or Advanced Editions. Basic courses contain eight core articles and the essential projects for understanding the key ideas of each course. Completion of the Basic Edition is recommended for all believers who desire to serve in a leadership capacity within the church. The Advanced Edition is intended for those desiring greater comprehension of the ideas, especially those people pursuing vocational ministry goals.
The Character courses are designed to specifically form a mental, spiritual, and practical wisdom into the life of the participant. Courses and issues are constructed to emphasize personal reflection, discipline, orientation, holiness, use of time, perseverance, and other key character traits.
The Ministry courses are designed to specifically form a philosophy of ministry based upon the principles and patterns of the first-century church as revealed in the New Testament and affirmed by history and tradition. Courses and issues are constructed to emphasize the importance of developing ministries around biblical principles, patterns, and contemporary culture.
Academic courses are designed to found the participant in the necessary academic skills and orientations necessary for effective ministry. In addition, the Academic courses include the comprehensive study of the Scriptures and the formation of a Comprehensive Belief Framework in Culture.
